ProMASS, Oct 31, 2016: In Madhya Pradesh, eight SIMI terrorists, who had escaped from Bhopal central jail last night, have been killed in a police encounter in Acharpur area near Bhopal today. The encounter took place under Gunga police station area.
According to sources, the encounter took place with the help of local villagers, who first sighted them. These terrorist hurled stones on villagers and police, later they were gunned down by the police. These terrorists had killed security guard Ramashankar Yadav during escaping from the B block of the jail.
They overpowered the guard and opened the lock of the cell. The names of the terrorists killed are Shiekh Mujeeb, Majid, Khalid, Zakir Badrul, Saleek, Aqueel, Mehboob, Amjad Ramzan. They used bed-sheets as rope for escaping from the wall.
A reward of five lakh rupees each was announced on arrest of these terrorists. Five officers of Central Bhopal Jail including jail superintendent have been suspended after jail break incident. The action has been taken on the instructions of the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
