Assam Floods: SDRF deployed, situation slightly improved

June 14, 2017:  In Assam, state disaster response force has been pressed into relief and rescue measures in Guwahati city this morning. Several parts of the city have been inundated due to heavy rain yesterday. Official sources said that situation is slightly improved today.

However relief and rescue measures have been taken at places like Anil Nagar, Nabin Nagar among others. Several landslides incidents have also been reported in Guwahati during last 24 hours. All schools and colleges are closed today in Kamrup Metro district. Two persons have died yesterday in Guwahati while another person is swept away.
