July 8, 2017: Following PM Narendra Modi’s vision on young India, Tripura BJP unit is set to stress on youth forces in the State. If media reports are to be believed, BJP has decided to field young candidates in 45% seats in ensuing State Assembly Polls. Working with such a plan BJP state unit today organized a workshop for young party workers in Agartala at the behest of BJP Yuva Morcha. In the workshop, emphasis was laid on following party’s principles and values as well as working for common people. Among others, BJP State observer Sunil Deodhar, president Biplab Deb and Morcha leaders were present.
Both the leaders focused on ideals, principles and vision of BJP and urged the young workers to follow these diligently and sincerely. They also stated, as young population is majority in country, Modi-led Government has stressed on nurturing the young brigade. In the same line, Tripura BJP is also putting its weight behind youth force, leaders mentioned.
Meanwhile, BJP president Biplab Deb today inaugurated an art exhibition at Agartala. The art exhibition was arranged by All Tripura Unemployed Degree Artists’ Association. Young artists displayed their art works in the exhibition.
Referring to exhibition by young artists, one of the veteran political analyst of the State commented, CPIM could easily rope these artists into their fold, but for some unknown reasons, CPIM always tend to stick to few ‘old horses’ and reluctant to infuse new blood in their circuit. Be it art or music or literary activities, ‘hegemony’ of a section of persons believed to be closed to CPIM is obvious and new entrants find it difficult to expose themselves.
The analyst further stated, it will be prudent decision, if CPIM starts expanding its circuits in cultural, literary, art and music fields, otherwise soon it will find itself left with a small group of age-old personalities.
