June 30, 2017: In Manipur, two persons have died after consuming spurious liquor. About 40 persons were also hospitalised with six of them in critical conditions.

Yesterday, a person died after consuming liquor at Oinam Sawombung Makha Leikai village in Wangoi town of Imphal. During the cremation some youths also drank liquor from the same area.
The youths started experiencing dizziness and started vomiting. They were rushed to hospitals and another person succumbed at Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, RIMS. Police has started investigating into the matter.
