August 04, 2017: Already on a sticky wicket, Trinamool Congress in Tripura is desperately trying to recover grounds as much as possible before ensuing State Assembly Polls. After five of its MLAs deserted Trinamool Congress, the Party not only lost leaders and supporters but also conceded its Party office.
Despite the ‘loss’ the party of ‘Maa, Mati, Manush’ has not lost hopes and is eyeing on rejuvenation of the party organization, Party sources said and added local Party leaders accorded importance on finding a place for setting up Trinamool State Party Office in Agartala, and leaders have succeeded in their initial target.
In-charge State president of TMC Dulal Das said, the Party has relocated its office to Dashamighat in Agartala. He said, the Party office will be formally inaugurated on August 5 by Sabyasachi Dutta, West Bengal MLA cum observer of Tripura.
Dulal Das said, Dutta who replaced Mukul Roy as observer of Tripura will arrive in Agartala on August 5 in a three-day State visit. “During his stay, Dutta will hold series of meetings to strengthen the organization. He will also speak with the supporters and local leaders and explore ways to revitalize the organization”, Das said. Even though it is still remain uncertain whether Dutta will address any public meetings, it is uncertain that the core objective of his tour will be to devise plans to pull out TMC from rubbles of desertion.
Das further stated, Sabyasachi Dutta will also attend a programme on August 7 to commemorate 110th birth anniversary at Muktadhara, Agartala.
