September 21, 2017: A sector commander level meeting of BSF and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) held in Tripura yesterday resolved to share actionable intelligence inputs to curb trans-border crimes. BSF DIG, Brajesh Kumar said the issues discussed in the meeting were related to trans-border crimes, mainly smuggling, theft, cattle lifting, border violation, infiltration, breaching and damaging of border pillars and other issues related to border infrastructure like barbed wire erection.
The meeting was held at the Srimantapur Indo-Bangla land customs station complex. Most of the issues were discussed and sorted out by the field commanders. The BSF and BGB also agreed to look into each other’s perspective on border problems. (AIR NEWS)
