September 23, 2017: Tripura is all set to celebrate Durga Puja with usual fervor and enthusiasm. However, incessant rains and violence have marred the mood of the people and Puja marketing did not really pick up, alleged a garment shop owner. “Traders were facing troubles due to demonetization while introduction of GST added further woes for us. Heavy downpour and massive water logging prevented people from going into shopping spree. Altogether, this year Puja market was much below the average sales”, said garment sellers of Hawkers’ corner in Agartala.
