[Scroll Down for Eng Version] প্রধানমন্ত্রীর পল্লী উন্নয়ন ফেলো কর্মসূচির আওতায় কর্মরত ২৩০ জনেরও বেশি তরুণ ও যুবকদের সঙ্গে সোমবার কথা বললেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী। কেন্দ্রীয় পল্লী উন্নয়ন মন্ত্রকের পক্ষ থেকে রূপায়িত হচ্ছে এই কর্মসূচিটি। ১১ জন তরুণ ফেলো দেশের প্রত্যন্ত গ্রামীণ ও আদিবাসী অধ্যুষিত এলাকাগুলিতে তাদের কাজের প্রামাণ্য চিত্র তুলে ধরেন প্রধানমন্ত্রীর কাছে। তাঁরা যে সমস্ত দুর্গম অঞ্চলে কাজ করেছেন, তার অনেকগুলিই ছিল চরম বামপন্থী অধ্যুষিত এলাকা। মূলত, নারী ক্ষমতায়ন, মা ও শিশুর স্বাস্থ্যরক্ষা, শিক্ষা, পুষ্টি, জীবিকার্জন, স্বচ্ছ ভারত, এক ভারত শ্রেষ্ঠ ভারত এবং দেশ পরিচালনার কাজে জনসাধারণের অংশগ্রহণ সম্পর্কিত বিভিন্ন বিষয়ের ওপর কাজ করেছেন তাঁরা।
পরে, প্রধানমন্ত্রীর সঙ্গে এক প্রশ্নোত্তর পর্বে কয়েকজন তরুণ উত্তর-পূর্ব ভারতের বিকাশ, গ্রামীণ শিক্ষা, আদিবাসী উন্নয়ন, জৈব কৃষি ব্যবস্থা এবং প্রতিবন্ধী কল্যাণের মতো বিষয়গুলির ওপর তাঁদের চিন্তাভাবনার কথা প্রকাশ করেন। ফেলোদের কাছে পাঠানো তাঁর পত্রের কথা প্রসঙ্গত স্মরণ করেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী। ঐ পত্রে তিনি ‘নরেন্দ্র মোদী অ্যাপ’-এ সাড়া দেওয়ার জন্য তরুণদের কাছে আহ্বান জানিয়েছিলেন তিনি। এ ব্যাপারে তিনি যে অভূতপূর্ব সাড়া পেয়েছেন তাতে তরুণদের প্রশংসা করেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী। এ ব্যাপারে তরুণদের কাছ থেকে পাওয়া মতামতগুলির কোনটিতেও কোনরকম অভিযোগ ছিল না বলে উল্লেখ করেন তিনি।প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেন, তরুণরা আজকে তাঁদের কাজের যে নিদর্শন তুলে ধরলেন তাতে এক অভিন্ন বিষয়ই পরিস্ফুট হয়ে উঠল। দেশে পরিবর্তন নিশ্চিত করার ক্ষেত্রে এ এক গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ঘটনা বলে মনে করেন তিনি।
নিষ্ঠা ও অধ্যবসায়ের সঙ্গে দেশের অনগ্রসর গ্রামীণ অঞ্চলে কাজ করার জন্য তরুণদের প্রশংসা করে প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেন, নানা ধরনের প্রতিকূলতা এবং পারিবারিক চাপ সত্ত্বেও তরুণরা তাঁদের কাজে ছিলেন অবিচল ও নিষ্ঠাবান। এই কর্মসূচিটিকে আরও এগিয়ে নিয়ে যাওয়ার জন্য সুনির্দিষ্ট মতামত ও পরামর্শও আহ্বান করেন মোদী। কর্মরত তরুণদের কাজকর্মের অভিজ্ঞতাকে সম্বল করে রচিত ‘স্ক্রিপ্টিং চেঞ্জ’ বইটির আনুষ্ঠানিক প্রকাশও করেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী। তরুণদের সঙ্গে প্রধানমন্ত্রীর এই আলাপচারিতার অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন কেন্দ্রীয় পল্লী উন্নয়ন মন্ত্রী চৌধুরি বীরেন্দর সিং।
The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, today interacted with over 230 youth who have been working in rural areas under the Prime Minister’s Rural Development Fellows (PMRDF) Scheme of the Ministry of Rural Development. 11 young participants presented brief accounts of their work in remote, rural, and tribal, and Left-Wing Extremism affected areas, on themes such as women empowerment, maternal and infant healthcare, education, nutrition, livelihoods, Swachh Bharat, Ek Bharat – Shreshtha Bharat, and people’s participation in governance. Later, in an interactive session with the Prime Minister, several participants shared their thoughts on themes such as development of the North-East, rural education, tribal development, organic farming, and welfare of the disabled.
The Prime Minister recalled the letter that he had written to all the Fellows, seeking their responses on the “Narendra Modi App.” He appreciated the extensive responses that he had received from the fellows, and especially emphasized that there was not a single complaint among the responses.
The Prime Minister said that people’s participation emerges as a common theme among the presentations given today, as well as from the responses which he has received. He stressed that this can be the most important aspect of bringing about change.
Narendra Modi appreciated the participants for working with dedication and devotion, in rural and backward areas of the country, often withstanding peer and family pressures. The Prime Minister invited specific comments and suggestions to further refine the PMRDF initiative. The Prime Minister released a book – Scripting Change – which visually demonstrates the essence of the work being done by PMRD Fellows across the country. Union Minister for Rural Development Chaudhary Birender Singh was present on the occasion.
