Amidst the high voltage election campaigns in Tripura, a lady from the State was penning an inspiring story of confidence, perseverance, and determination in the national capital – New Delhi.
Snigdha Sen, hailing from the remote village – Muhuripur in South Tripura, scripted success in the arena of beauty pageant contest and was crowned as ‘Miss and Mrs India Universe 2023’ on February 5 last at an all India Mrs India beauty pageant contest outshining 40 other contestants with her rock-solid willpower.
The contest was held in New Delhi and was organized by Evick Entertainment (OPC) Pvt Limited.
Sen addressed a press conference in Agartala on Saturday (Feb 18), where she spoke about her humble beginnings and strong passion for beauty, fashion, and modeling.
She encouraged others to pursue their dreams, regardless of their background or obstacles they may face. Sen emphasized that with strong willpower, practice, and a hunger for success, nothing can impede one’s path to success.
Snigdha Sen completed her school education at Bengali medium Muhuripur HS School, followed by her graduation from Belonia College and IGNOU. She had to start from scratch to achieve success in the beauty pageant world.
Despite juggling household responsibilities and professional duties as a senior manager in a private bank, Snigdha pursued her passion relentlessly.
Talking about her journey to the beauty pageant world, the founder principal of the School Science, Abhijit Bhattacharjee, praised her success as a story of empowerment through great diligence and confidence.
Sen’s journey to become Mrs. India was a long and arduous one, starting with her win as the Mrs. Tripura title in 2017. She continued to participate in beauty pageants and became the first runner-up in Mrs. Northeast in 2018. Her perseverance paid off when she was selected as the Face of the Year in 2021, culminating in her recent triumph as ‘Miss and Mrs. India Universe 2023’.
