Chief Minister of Tripura Dr. Manik Saha on Saturday reiterated the BJP is ready to secure both seats in the State, surpassing the 2019 vote margin, which is evident from the widespread support of the people.

Dr. Saha led a massive rally in Kanchanpur under the North District in support of BJP candidate for East Tripura, Kriti Singh Debbarma.

“Spontaneous support and enthusiasm of the people of kanchanpur ensure that BJP nominated candidate would secure massive victory,” he said.

Speaking to the media, Dr. Saha expressed confidence in the BJP's prospects, citing the overwhelming response from the public as indicative of the party's victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha election.

"The IPFT and Tipra Moth have extended their support to our candidate. Today, we held a rally in Kanchanpur, where we received a tremendous response from the people. They are eager to see Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of India again. PM Modi has set a target, and we anticipate surpassing the vote count from the last Lok Sabha elections, as evidenced by the rally. Both candidates will emerge victorious in our state; there is no doubt about it," he added.

The rally was attended by BJP candidate Kriti Singh Debbarma, Minister Tinku Roy, Minister of State Brishaketu Debbarma, and others.

After the rally, the Chief Minister and other leaders paid floral tributes to a statue of Maharani Kanchanprabha Devi. The  Maharani played a crucial role in merging princely Tripura with India after the Independence. People from different communities and religions attended today’s rally.
