Agartala, May 17, 2025: In a heartfelt tribute to the Indian Army’s unwavering courage and sacrifice, the Tripura Journalists Union (TJU) organized a solemn ceremony on Saturday at the Agartala Press Club on Saturday (May 17) to celebrate the triumphant completion of ‘Operation Sindoor’, a pivotal counter-terrorism mission.

The ceremony served as a powerful expression of appreciation for the Indian Army’s decisive and strategic success in neutralizing terrorist threats during ‘Operation Sindoor’ in response to brutal Pahalgam terror attack.

It also reaffirmed India’s unyielding resolve to combat terrorism and protect its citizens from such heinous acts.

In the event journalists, community leaders and others gathered to honor the bravery of the armed forces and pay respects to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

A Tribute to Fallen Heroes

A poignant moment of the ceremony saw attendees offering floral tributes in the memory of martyred soldiers and para military jawans, symbolizing the nation’s eternal gratitude for their selfless service.

The gesture highlighted the profound sacrifices made by the Indian Army personnel who laid down their lives to ensure the safety and security of the country.

The event also served as a moment of reflection on the devastating Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of 26 innocent civilians, mostly tourists.

Addressing the gathering, Pranab Sarkar, the president of the Tripura Journalists Union and Agartala Press Club, expressed deep condolences to the families of the victims, acknowledging the collective grief felt across the nation.

“The pain of losing innocent lives to terrorism is a wound we all share. We stand in solidarity with the bereaved families and honor their resilience,” Sarkar said.

Lauding the Indian Army’s Bravery

Sarkar’s address was a stirring tribute to the Indian Army’s extraordinary valor and dedication during ‘Operation Sindoor’.

He praised the soldiers for their meticulous planning, fearless execution, and relentless pursuit of justice, which culminated in the operation’s success.

“The Indian Army’s courage in the face of adversity is a beacon of hope and a testament to India’s strength,” he remarked.

The TJU president emphasized that the soldiers’ commitment to national security embodies the spirit of unity, resilience, and patriotism that defines India.

“Their sacrifices remind us of the price of freedom and the importance of standing united against threats to our nation,” Sarkar added, calling for continued support for the armed forces.
