Tripura CM Dr Manik Saha leads the Tiranga Yatra in Agartala, honoring Operation Sindoor’s success and hailing national pride, and the Indian Army’s courage under PM Modi’s leadership.
Agartala May 14, 2025: Agartala was infused with patriotic fervor and nationalism on Wednesday as Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha spearheaded a Tiranga Yatra, paying tribute to the Indian Army and commemorating the success of Operation Sindoor in response to Pahalgam massacre.
The Yatra set off from the Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan and made its way through several prominent streets of the city, drawing widespread attention and participation.
Accompanied by Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Tinku Roy, other legislators, and leaders of the ruling party, Dr. Saha marched proudly holding the national flag.
People from diverse backgrounds turned out in large numbers to join the Tiranga Yatra, reflecting a strong spirit of unity and national pride.
Speaking to the media during the event, Dr. Saha said that Operation Sindoor was India’s powerful counterattack following the recent terror assault in Pahalgam, asserting it as a fitting reply to Pakistan’s provocation.
He condemned the April 22 incident in Pahalgam, where Pakistan-supported militants opened fire indiscriminately, killing 26 innocent people, mostly tourists, and described it as a horrific act of brutality.

In response, he said, the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force executed Operation Sindoor under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The joint mission led to the destruction of multiple terror camps across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, sending a resounding warning to those supporting terrorism.
“The name Operation Sindoor was given by none other than our Prime Minister,” Dr. Saha remarked, emphasizing that the Tiranga Yatra symbolized the people’s gratitude and support for this decisive mission.
Later, in a post shared on social media, the Chief Minister wrote that he, along with countless citizens, participated in the grand Tiranga Yatra to pay homage to Operation Sindoor, describing it as a resolute and justified response to the heinous Pahalgam massacre orchestrated by Pakistan-backed terrorists.
He highlighted that Operation Sindoor showcased the unmatched courage of India’s armed forces and reflected the resolute leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
“Through this march, I offer my heartfelt respects to the martyrs who laid down their lives in defense of our nation,” he wrote. “I also salute the thousands of patriots who joined the Tiranga Yatra to honor the unwavering spirit of our armed forces, who continually safeguard the sovereignty and unity of our nation.”
