Rapid development of Tripura Tourism sector will pave away for creating job opportunities for youths. In absence of big industry, Tourism sector has the potentiality to become major source of jobs under different categories based on education and skills.

Agartala, January 13, 2020: In an obvious bid to make Tripura tourism a thriving sector – the State Government is regularly updating and harnessing the facilities to attract tourists. Among many steps, the latest one is setting log hut, amidst lush green nature, to boost up Tripura Tourism sector. Besides, introduction of special vehicles for tourist, water biking in Narkel Kunj are other initiatives on cards.
Capitalizing natural splendor of the State, Tourism sector has already witnessed several positive initiatives after BJP-led Government came into power. Aggressive branding and highlighting beauty and uniqueness of Tripura Tourist spots, are just few of the initiatives undertaken by the incumbent Government.
Log huts for Tripura Tourism
As part of the ongoing process of overhauling Tripura Tourism, Government has built up ‘log hut’ at Tepania Eco-park under Gomati District. In a programme, Tourism Minister Pranajit Singha Roy inaugurated the ‘log hut’ today.
He said, nestled in natural ambience, such log huts will provide tourists a memorable feeling. He also said, such huts will be constructed in other tourist spots including Sephaijala, Baramura, NarkelKunja and near Tripureshwari temple. Government constructed the Log huts under the Swadesh Darshan scheme at an expense of Rs 40 lakh each. “The aim of the government is to offer every tourist a luxurious and comfortable staying experience in Tripura”.
The Tourism Minister also focused upon other initiatives that the Government is planning to introduce. He said, State government is contemplating to appoint of drivers and train them. Special tourist vehicles will be given to the trained beneficiaries who will take care of the tourists coming over the State.

Tripura tourism: Plan for ‘Water biking’
Shedding lights on upcoming initiatives, Pranajit Singha Roy also said that soon water biking would be introduced in Narkelkunja – a small island type tourist spot located in river Gomati – to add scopes for more fun and enjoyment.
“Though this project to introduce Water biking facility is still in the pen and paper, the government is very much enthusiastic to execute the project in order to attract more and more tourists in the state. Once executed, this would the first of its kind in the State and Water biking would provide a huge boost to state tourism sector”, said an official of the tourism department in the condition of anonymity.
With rapid development and expansion of Tripura Tourism sector, job market of the State is likely to get a huge boost. In absence of big industry, Tourism sector has the potentiality to become major source of jobs.
