Tipra Motha Party strengthens its base in Tripura’s Raima Valley as 82 Bengali voters from 32 families join the party at a TCF meeting ahead of the TTAADC polls.
Agartala April 29 : As the Tripura Tribal Area Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) polls approach, BJP’s ally Tipra Motha Party (TMP), commonly known as the party of local indigenous people is ramping up its grassroots efforts across Tripura, with a focus on winning support of Bengali voters living in the TTAADC areas like in Raima Valley under Gandachhara in Dhalai District of Tripura.
The TMP’s affiliate, the Tipra Citizens Federation (TCF), held a joining program at Pichli Ghat Bazaar in Gandachhara subdivision, welcoming 82 voters from 32 Bengali families who previously supported other political parties.

The event, marked by enthusiasm and unity, underscores Tipra Motha’s growing appeal among diverse communities. Rajesh Tripura, Executive Member of the Fisheries Department of the Tripura ADC, officiated the induction, presenting the new members with the party flag as a symbol of their commitment.
A Unified Vision for Development
The meeting saw prominent local leaders, including TCF Raima Valley Block Committee president Joy Kumar Das, Sub-Zonal Chairman Hiranmoy Tripura, Tipra Motha Party (TMP) Dhalai District Committee Vice-president Sarjoy Tripura, and Block Committee Secretary Pramod Ranjan Tripura, rallying support for the party’s inclusive agenda.
In his address, Joy Kumar Das criticized the lack of progress under past CPIM and Congress administrations, particularly in ADC areas.
“The people of Tripura have endured years of neglect,” Das said. “Since Tipra Motha Party’s historic 2021 ADC victory, we’ve driven transformative projects—building roads, expanding electricity access, ensuring clean water, and advancing education.”
Das credited these achievements to the visionary leadership of Tipra Motha Party’s supremo, Pradyot Kishore Debbarma, whose establishment of TCF has bridged divides and fostered trust among Bengali communities.
“Initially, many saw Tipra Motha Party as an indigenous-only party,” Das noted. “TCF has changed that narrative, and today, thousands of Bengalis are joining our movement for progress.”
TCF’s Expanding Influence
The TCF’s growth in Raima Valley is remarkable. “We started with just a handful of members,” Das revealed. “Now, thousands have joined, and more are ready to align with our vision.” This surge reflects Tipra Motha’s commitment to uniting Tripura’s diverse populations under a shared goal of development and peace.

Das also emphasized the party’s dedication to harmony, urging supporters to secure a resounding victory in the upcoming ADC elections to sustain the region’s developmental momentum.
“We want peace and progress to define the ADC areas,” he declared.
Looking Ahead to the ADC Elections
Ruling BJP’s ally Tipra Motha’s strategic expansion, coupled with TCF’s outreach, could prove decisive in the upcoming elections.
With the Opposition Parties, especially CPIM is still lagging behind in restoring its ground among the indigenous people, the TMP is trying to garner supports from Bengalis.
