In yet another successful action against narco-dealers, Tripura Police seized brown sugar of worth more than Rs 3 lakh from Panisagar area under North Tripura and arrested two smugglers on Friday.
Based on a tip-off, Panisagar Police seized total 72 gm Brown Sugar kept in six packets from the possession of two smugglers at Chamtila area in Panisagar. Two accused smugglers were identified as Abhijit Pal of Badharghat in Agartala and Nasir Ahmed of Bishalgarh
Sources said, Abhijit and Nasir were going to Agartala. Value of seized items stands at more than Rs 3 lakh. Police also seized their Pulsar Bike. Both the persons were arrested and a case under NDPS Act was lodged against them. Panisagar Police have started an investigation.
