Cumulative tally of Covid19 cases in Tripura increased to 6164 with fresh 62 cases detected on Sunday. Coronavirus has claimed another life today taking the death toll to 42, so far.
According to a Media Bulletin issued by the concerned authority, total 1665 samples were tested today, out of which 62 were found Covid19 positive and the number of deaths pushed up to 42. One patient succumbed at AGMC today and 267 persons were released today. The Cumulative number of released patients is 4443 so far. A total of 18 patients had migrated, leaving the number of active cases in 1658.
Out of the fresh 62 positive cases, 25 are from North District followed by West District with 22 new cases. Seven from Khowai, four from Gomati two from Sepahijala and one each from Dhalai and South districts have tested Covid19 positive today.
In an attempt to contain the transmission of the virus, the Tripura Government has taken several steps strengthening surveillance and control measures.
