There is no new Covid19 case in Tripura. The infected woman is in stable condition. Tripura CM urged everyone to co-operate with the government, not to panic

Agartala, April 08, 2020: There is no fresh positive Covid19 case in Tripura and the infected woman is in stable condition. State Education Minister Ratanlal Nath told media in Agartala today.
Later, Chief Minister posted an update in his social media handle and said, “Total 17 people who were in close contact with the Covid19 patient of Tripura have been tested to be negative after 2 times testing. All of them are still under surveillance in quarantine. I urge everyone to co-operate with the government and not to panic. If you need any assistance, please contact with the Government. We are working round the clock to ensure safety of every citizen. Stay Home Stay Safe and maintain social distancing. Together we shall overcome this pandemic,” he wrote.
Earlier in a press conference Education Minister Ratanlal Nath said that condition of the infected woman was ‘stable’. Briefing media about current situation, Nath said, “Nine among the 17 samples of the close contacts of Covid19 positive woman appeared inappropriate. These samples have been recollected and the testing is in progress. The results are expected to come up by tonight”. The Minister further added, “The samples of remaining 8 close contacts of the infected woman have been tested to be negative. There is no fresh positive case in Tripura,”
Elaborating the details, Nath said that altogether 59 people who had come in contact with the infected woman were quarantined in facility centres – 39 people in Gomati district and 20 persons in West Tripura. Besides, several other people were sent to home quarantine in this connection.
Ratanlal Nath also said that a State level task force meeting, chaired by the Chief Minister, was held and overall Covid19 situation was discussed.

Meanwhile, the Education Minister said that a youth of Kabiraj Tilla was arrested by Ranirbazar police today for spreading false information in social media platform. The arrested person – Akbar Hossain had posted that one more Covid19 positive case was detected at Briddhanagar in Ranirbazar which was a false and misleading, Nath told media.
