In Tripura, per centage of Covid19 recovery has increased to a tad higher than 94 per cent – higher than that of national average. According to available information, recovery rate in Tripura stands at 94.01 per cent while at the national level the rate is 91.15 per cent. Even as fatality rate in Tripura is 1.12 per cent, it is lower than that of national average of 1.50 per cent.

Sources said, as many as 141 Covid19 infected patients have been discharged during last 24 hours (Till 8pm, October 30, 2020). On Friday, a total of 2569 samples were tested out of which 97 persons tested positive. However, no one died in last 24 hours, health department sources said.
In Tripura, 113 fresh cases of COVID-19 were detected in the past 24 hours while 212 patients were discharged after recovery during the period. Also, the recovery rate of COVID-19 has increased to 94.01 per cent in the state.

As per the medical bulletin issued on Oct 29, the total number of infected people rose to 30,566. A record number of 4,54,391 samples have been tested till yesterday evening. Out of the total samples tested, 4,23,825 persons tested negative. Information till October 29 shows that the number of active cases has reduced to 1483.
Officials said that so far 28,714 infected patients have been discharged from hospitals after recovery from the virus while the number of total fatality stands at 343.

Even as the Covid19 surveillance report shows encouraging trend, a section of experts prefer to remain in ‘wait and watch’ mode. A senior health professional said on condition of anonymity that the 5-day long Durga Puja had just ended and possibility of a spike in Covid19 positive cases could not be ruled out.

“In fact, with the onset of winter and ongoing festivities, all of us need to remain alert and take adequate precautions to avert Covid19 spike in the State”, the official said.
