A Vehicle Sanitization Tunnel was installed at Bodhjungnagar for vehicles entering Industrial Complex for safety of industrial workers from COVID19 pandemic.

Agartala, April 30, 2020: Adding more ammunition in the Covid19 war in Tripura, a ‘Vehicle Sanitization Facility’ was installed at Bodhjungnagar Industrial Complex near Agartala today. All the vehicles that will enter in the Complex will have to pass through ‘Vehicle sanitizing tunnel’. This facility will enhance safety of Industrial workers against the spread of Coronavirus.
Notably, Tripura has emerged as a Corona free State recently and the Government is leaving no stone unturned in sustaining the ‘Corona free’ tag in view of the pandemic. In Tripura, two persons tested positive for Corona – however, both of them recovered. Even as Tripura has become Covid19 free State, Government is conducting regular tests as well as adopted preventive steps to stop the virus transmission.
In compliance with the order issued by Ministry of Home Affairs, sanitization of vehicles entering the Industrial Complex at Bodhjungnagar during lockdown period has commenced in order to ensure safety of industrial workers against COVID19 pandemic.
Tripura Industrial Development Corporation (TIDC) has installed Vehicle Sanitizing Tunnel at the Gate No-2 (EPIP Gate) with the assistance of Agartala Municipal Corporation.
The tunnel was inaugurated by Tinku Roy, Chairman of TIDC, today in presence of Kiran Gitte, Secretary to Industries and Commerce department, P.K.Goyal, Director to Industries and Commerce department.
The officials from TIDC, President and General Secretary, Tripura Industrial Owners’ Association, owners of various Industrial units were also present at the time of inauguration.
Presently, entrance and exit of all vehicles/trucks are being allowed through Gate No-2 at EPIP only after sanitizing all vehicles entering to the Bodhjungnagar Industrial Complex properly.
The objective of providing such tunnel is to sanitize all incoming vehicles to the Industrial complex by spraying disinfectants, an official release said. Total project cost is around Rs 4 lakh. The Agartala Municipal Corporation has executed the project following all the prescribed guidelines.
