Boost for investment in Infra

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley chaired the governing council meet of National investment and infrastructure fund. Members discussed the process of Registration of NIIF under various legislations during the meeting. Possible projects that could be taken up for support of the fund were also discussed. Jaitley after the meeting said several sovereign, pension funds from abroad are expressing their willingness to cooperate with NIIF.  He also said that NIIF will be used for infrastructure development in commercially viable projects. Minister of State for Finance Jayant Sinha and economic affairs secretary Shaktikanta Das were also present in the meeting.
