BJYM to open Namo Covid care centre in Tripura

As the Corona Virus is fast spreading across the country, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) of Tripura unit has come up with a noble idea to help the Covid patients and their families.

Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) of Tripura is set to open BJYM Namo Covid 19 centre in Tripura using public infrastructure like community halls or private club buildings in order to enable Covid 19 patients get all sorts of treatment facilities, BJYM state president Nabadal Banik said on Sunday.

“The Covid pandemic is a national emergency. We need to act according to the situation. The BJYM volunteers have delivered their best during the first wave of the pandemic. The youth brigade has reached the houses of the needy and helped them with packed foods, ration and all. We are taking a step forward, for now, to set up covid care centre so that infected patients can be given the primary treatment at these facilities if the present healthcare institutions fail to accommodate all”, said Banik.

The Yuva Morcha, as a part of their service-oriented programme, constituted committees of ten people in the state, district and Mondol level to help the Covid 19 infected families. “These committees will work as a bridge in between the public healthcare system and people. If someone wants an ambulance, if someone while in home quarantine falls short of any daily necessity, we are there to help. Our volunteers will be just a call away to help the distressed families”, said Banik.

Apprehending a rise in cases, he said, the BJYM is prepared to help the people if the Covid 19 cases once again rise to an alarming level and adhering to all the Covid 19 norms, helps will be extended to distressed people. BJYM leader Vikki Prasad had been made in-charge of the state level control room that was set up to respond to the calls.
