Chandra Memorial: Lal Bahadur defeat Jewels by 3-1

Lal Bahadur Gymkhana surges ahead in the Super League race with a resounding victory in a crucial match. Playing against Jewels Association, Lal Bahadur won the match 3-1 and secured the 2nd position in the point table of the Chandra Memorial League Football.

In the ‘Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers’ Chandra Memorial First Division League Football tournament organized by the State Football Association, Lal Bahadur Gymkhana defeated Jewels Association 3-1 in a match held at Umakanta Mini Stadium on Monday.

With this win, Lal Bahadur Gymkhana has now climbed to the second position in the tournament with 7 points from 3 matches.

On the other hand, Jewels has only 1 point from the same number of matches. With this defeat, Jewels Association has fallen significantly behind in the Super League race.

Lal Bahadur players dominated the match from the very beginning, displaying superior ball possession.

Although they controlled the game from the start, they had to wait until the 38th minute to score the first goal. Vanlal Thla Muana gave Lal Bahadur the lead in the 38th minute.

Just before the break, Vanlal Thla Muana scored his second goal of the match and his team's second goal, further extending Lal Bahadur's lead.

After the break, Lal Bahadur players intensified their attacks, leaving Jewels' defense in a state of disarray. In the 48th minute, Bishwajit Debbarma scored a brilliant goal to make it 3-0. Jewels' MC Jonathan pulled one back in the 54th minute (1-3).

Despite trying hard to reduce the deficit further, Jewels' players couldn't breach Lal Bahadur's defense. Referee Satyajit Debray officiated the match.
