Diwali festival at Mata Tripura Sundari Devi - one of 51 pithss - Temple in Tripura will be low key affair in view of Covid19 pandemic. As the Diwali Festival at the temple hufe crowd and devotees from all over the places, even from other countries, focus is on avoiding gatherings and the State Government is set to introduce digital method to curb crowding.
In this context, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has on Thursday passed an instruction to the authorities concerned for taking initiative to launch online booking system for Darshan of Mata Tripura Sundari during the ensuing Diwali festival.
The Chief Minister feels that the online booking would help avoid much gathering of devotees in case of Darshan of Mata Tripura Sundari.
The decision on online booking was taken in a meeting of Sri Sri Mata Tripura Sundari Mandir Trust in Civil Secretariat.
As per the decision, total 15,000 devotees would be allowed to enter the temple for offering puja and Darshan of Mata Tripura Sundari. Besides, the online booking system would also enable the devotees to get home delivery of Prasad.
The state government has also decided to arrange live telecast of Diwali festival in various channels of the state so the devotees don’t miss it while in home.
The other important decision included that no shop would be allowed in the temple premises. However, the shops would be allowed in both sides of the road from Brahmanari to main gate of the temple with COVID19 safety norms in place.
As decided by the authority, there would be no cultural programme this year while everybody in the temple premises has to wear mask. In case of Mangal Aarti, the social or physical distancing norms would be followed properly.
While addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister said Diwali mela is linked with our culture and it would not be a good choice to disallow the devotees in offering puja and Darshan of Mata Tripura Sundari. At the same time, the Chief Minister also emphasized on maintaining the COVID19 guidelines properly.
In the meeting, Revenue minister N.C. Debbarma, Tourism minister Pranajit Singha Roy, MLA Biplab Kumar Ghosh, Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar, principal secretary to Health department J.K. Sinha, Tourism secretary Kiran Gitte, Revenue secretary Tanushree Debbarma, Addl. DGP Rajeev Singh, DM Gomati T.K. Debnath and OSD to Sri Sri Mata Tripura Sundari Temple Trust Bhaskar Dasgupta along with others were also present in the meeting.
