Govt ensured citizens' right to express their thoughts: Tripura CM

The present state government has ensured citizens’ right to express their thoughts. Not only right to express thoughts but this government has also given citizens their deserving respect back.

 

Citizens-right-in-Tripura-CMThe present state government is determined towards the uplifting the socio-economic condition of the people, said Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb in an interactive programme with the beneficiaries of different public welfare schemes of central and state government conducted at Tarapur High School Ground under Mohanpur sub-division on Tuesday.

 

Despite the rainfall, the Chief Minister interacted with people present in the programme and listened to them. The interaction session was conducted today along with the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin in Mohanpur.

 

The Chief Minister said, the present state government is the people’s government. This government is implementing a bunch of schemes for the welfare of the people. It is important to remember the benefits people are getting presently through different schemes and it is also important to remember what hardships people had to face earlier. He said, the present state government is implementing different developmental plans following the path shown by the Prime Minister.

 

The Prime Minister has saved many lives by providing free vaccination facilities during the Covid-19 situation. He is also providing facilities in various ways for improving the quality of living of the people. Prime Minister has been providing facilities in overall sectors such as improvement of infrastructure, schools being brought under CBSE under Mission Vidyajyoti, the new terminal of MBB Airport, National Highways, housing under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, drinking water connection under Jal Jeevan Mission, free rice to the poor, roads etc.  

 

The Chief Minister said, more than 8 thousand beneficiary families have received housing under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Mohanpur constituency area. He mentioned approval for about 4500 housing in the area in the financial year 2021-22. The Chief Minister said, Jal Jeevan Mission started in 2019. Drinking water connections will reach every household in the state by 2024. The present state government took a scheme in 2018 to provide free drinking water connection to every household.

 

Putting emphasis in this regard, he said, as much it is the duty of the government to provide all kinds of facilities of different schemes to the people, it is also duty of the public to come forward towards protecting these schemes. He said, the farmers are getting 6 thousand rupees every year into their bank accounts under PMKISAN. About 2,500 farmers of Mohanpur area are reaping the benefits of PMKISAN. Apart from that, the state government is implementing schemes for the benefit of the Bargadars.

 

The Chief Minister said, the present government has increased the amount of social pension after it came to power. The social pension will be increased to 2 thousand rupees before this Durga Puja. He also said, the monthly wage of home guards has been increased from 6 thousand rupees to 18 thousand rupees. The retiring age for TSR jawans has also been increased from 57 years to 60 years. The present state government has also arranged the promotion of government employees on an Ad-hoc basis. He also mentioned a bunch of plans taken for the expansion of quality education in the state.

 

Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath, Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare Minister Pranajit Singha Roy were also present along with the Chief Minister during the interaction programme. welcome speech was delivered by West Tripura District Magistrate & Collector Debapriya Bardhan. A vote of Thanks was delivered by Secretary of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare department Apurba Roy. The Chief Minister personally visited residences of three beneficiaries and interacted with them. He also visited an Anganwadi Centre.
