These initiatives, held across various locations in the Northeast, including Upper Assam, Imphal East, and Agartala, aimed to educate the public on the severe health hazards of drug use and the critical importance of a drug-free lifestyle.

At Agartala Military Station, under the aegis of Spear Corps, a comprehensive campaign was organized to commemorate the day. A detailed lecture highlighted the detrimental effects of drugs on individuals, families, and society at large. A total of  96 civilians actively participated. The event featured a medical check-up by a team of medical officers and called for widespread awareness to combat the illegal activities associated with drug abuse.

The Indian Army has pledged to organize similar programs on a larger scale as part of the 'Nesha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan,' aiming for a drug-free India. The Army continues to play a vital role in empowering communities and contributing to a safer, drug-free society.
