The Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination (TBJEE) announced the results of the 2024 Joint Entrance Examination on Monday.
In a press conference held at Shiksha Bhavan, TBJEE Chairman Raja Chakraborty announced this year saw a total of 5,977 applications. Of these, 2,268 candidates appeared in the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) group, while 4,868 candidates competed in the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) group.
The PCM group was led by Ayushkar Nath (Roll No. 3627), followed by Sagnik Purkayastha (Roll No. 3139) and Partha Sarathi Roy (Roll No. 3735) securing the second and third positions respectively. In the PCB group, Sayan Majumder (Roll No. 0442) emerged as the topper, with Tilottoma Ghosh (Roll No. 4978) and Mukthang Debbarma (Roll No. 0183) clinching the second and third ranks respectively.
Chakraborty highlighted that this year, the number of female candidates surpassed that of their male counterparts. Furthermore, there was a 6% increase in the number of applicants compared to the previous year, rising from 5,636 to 5,977.
The Chairman also announced that the counselling process for the successful candidates would commence shortly, marking the next phase in their academic journey.
The 2024 Tripura Joint Entrance Examination was conducted on May 2 across 17 centres throughout the state, providing a platform for the state’s brightest minds to showcase their academic prowess and secure their future in the fields of science and technology.
