CPM slams BJP on violence

The CPM leaders continue to slam the ruling BJP on the political violence issue.

CPM Politburo leader Manik Sarkar while addressing party workers at Agartala on Saturday alleged, “The ruling party won votes by resorting to terror tactics and throttling the voice of democracy. The BJP is slaughtering democracy in Tripura.”

“Despite all odd and falling prey into the BJP’s terror, a major section of people managed to cast their vote in this by-election. They were restricted many times from casting their vote starting from the day before the polling,” Sarkar alleged.

Continuing his tirade, Sarkar alleged of massive poll rigging in 8-Town Bordowali assembly constituency during the by-polls, where the Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha won the poll from the seat against the opposition.
