Tripura News: INPT merges with TIPRA Motha, TIPRA-led ADC to publish whitepaper on receipts, expenses

Chairman of TIPRA Motha, Pradyot Kishore Debbarma has made two important announcements in Agartala on Friday. He has declared Bijoy Kumar Hrangkhawl as the president of Motha and Debbarma also has announced that a whitepaper would be placed during upcoming TTAADC session on June 24 next detailing about the earnings and expenditures of the Council over the years.    

In his first announcement, Debbarma said, the Indigenous Nationalist Party of Twipra (INPT) – a regional party of Tripura - has formally merged with TIPRA Motha on Friday.

After the merger, Bijoy Kumar Hrangkhawl – supremo of now merged INPT – has been announced as the president of Motha, Debbarma said this while addressing a press meet on Friday.

Merger of INPT with Motha was on the cards and was a matter of time – and it happened on the foundation of Tripura Upajati Juba Samity (TUJS) today.

Notably, even before the TTAADC polls, INPT joined hands with Motha and fought the election together. Meanwhile, one of the leaders of BJP Pradesh BJP, Manihar Debbarma has joined Motha severing her ties with the saffron party today.

Welcoming Bijoy Hrangkhawel as the party president, Motha chairman Pradyot Kishore Debbarma reiterated his demand for greater TIPRA Land and he commented that he would like speak about the demand at Delhi in a common platform.  

In his second announcement, Debbarma also said that ADC session will be held on June 24 next and in that session, we will place a whitepaper on sources of earnings and expenditures of ADC.

The Whitepaper will be made a public document he said and added, “80-85 per cent earnings of ADC go to paying salaries. Around 5-6 thousand people got employment in ADC, several big buildings were constructed – but pity that there were no arrangements for maintenance.
