Indian Army Responds Strongly After Pakistan Launches Drone Strikes and Ceasefire Violations

Agartala May 9, 2025: The Pakistan Armed Forces launched coordinated attacks using drones and heavy munitions along the entire Western Border on the night of May 8-9. However, Indian army neutralized threats and ceasefire violations in a proportionate response.

Additional Directorate General of Public Information, IHQ of MoD (Army), New Delhi (ADG PI – Indian Army) mentioned in a social media post on Friday (May 9).

The post also mentioned, in a simultaneous escalation, Pakistani troops also committed multiple ceasefire violations (CFVs) along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Indian Army successfully intercepted and neutralized the drone threats, ensuring minimal disruption to security infrastructure.

A strong and proportionate response was also delivered to the ceasefire violations initiated by Pakistan.
