The dry run for Covid vaccination has been slated to be conducted on Saturday (January 2). Altogether three spots have been selected for the dry run—IGM hospital, Gandhigram primary health centre and Borakha primary health centre under West Tripura district, NHM mission director Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal said on Friday.
Addressing a press conference at the Agartala Municipal Corporation conference hall, he said, the mock drill of the vaccination process is being conducted to assess whether there are any loopholes in the designed system set by the health department and if necessary rectification measures can be carried out.
Describing the dry run system, he said, the carriers would be carried to the vaccination sites and dummy vaccines would be administered to the selected health workers on the occasion. Not less than 25 people including ASHA and Anganwadi workers will remain present at the spots, he added.
He said, as of now altogether 180 persons have been trained and among them 18 persons with equal distribution of 6 members at a site will remain present, The 6 member team include—two vaccinators, vaccination officers that include people from education, social welfare and home department, he added.
According to him, all the details of the vaccination will be uploaded in the Co-win app that has been designed to archive all the details and facts of the vaccination drive.
