Agartala May 14: Tripura Power Minister Ratanlal Nath has emphasized the need for urgent action to ensure uninterrupted electricity services during the upcoming monsoon season. Chairing a high-level meeting at Pragya Bhavan in Agartala, the minister directed senior officials of the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL) to complete all pre-monsoon repair and maintenance work without delay.
The review meeting ensuring reliable power, held in Hall No. 1 of Pragya Bhavan, focused on the state’s electricity supply, pre-monsoon preparedness, and infrastructure improvements.
Among those present were Power Department Secretary Abhishek Singh, Additional Secretary Udayan Sinha, TSECL Managing Director Biswajit Basu, Director of Finance Sabarjit Singh Dogra, and district-level electricity officials from across the state.
The Power Minister reviewed the progress of power services in each district and held detailed discussions on the implementation of projects under the 2024–25 financial year, as well as planning for 2025–26. He instructed officials to expedite the completion of all unfinished tasks from the previous year and finalize plans for new initiatives in the current fiscal period.
“With the monsoon approaching, maintaining uninterrupted power supply becomes a major challenge,” the minister said. “All repair work and the distribution of essential power equipment across districts must be completed before the onset of the rainy season.”

He further stressed the importance of efficient service delivery, stating that no citizen should suffer due to mismanagement in electricity supply. “Ensuring reliable power for the people of Tripura is a top priority,” Nath added.
The meeting comes at a critical time as Tripura prepares to safeguard its power infrastructure against seasonal disruptions and improve overall service quality for consumers.
