The Chief Minister will focus on achievements as well as issues pertaining to implementation of projects in achieving the Goals. While, ‘ending poverty and hunger’ are the two topmost goals included under ‘Social’, ensuring inclusive health and quality education are two other parameters. In the Conclave, Biplab Kumar Deb will focus on several steps taken by his Government pertaining achieving ‘Social’ goals.

Moreover, Government’s decision to hike social pension was a major step in this direction. Besides, Government is committed to expedite construction of houses under PMAY for eligible beneficiaries.

The Chief Minister is expected to dwell on these issues elaborately and highlight achievements. Similarly, performance relating to rolling out Ayushman Bharat for every eligible person and emerging challenges after introduction of NCERT syllabus are likely to be discussed in details. State may place slew of demands

Since NITI Aayog is one of the organizers of the Conclave, delegates from Tripura is likely to place a slew of demands and seek NITI Aayog’s intervention to expedite growth initiatives of the State Government. Highly placed sources said, demand for changing funding pattern for ‘Smart City’ project is likely to be raised in the Conclave. At present, fund pattern is formulated on 50:50 – implying that out of total fund 50 per cent will be Central fund and State will have to cough up rest 50 per cent.

In this case, Tripura delegates led by Biplab Kumar Deb are likely to pitch for 90:10 funding pattern. Besides, fund grants by 15th Commission as per the State Government’s request and demand for more fund Externally Aided Projects – like World Bank and JICA projects – for ensuing holistic and sustainable growth of the State are likely to placed during the Conclave.
