June 14, 2018: The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) from UP with more than 20 advance boats to carry out rescue operations in flood effected Tripura have arrived in Agartala in an IAF Aircraft, reports in social media mentioned.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister Biplab Deb discussed the flood situation with Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh today morning telephonically and requested the Centre for immediate assistance from Army for rescue and evacuation operation. During his telephonic talks, Deb also urged Rajnath Singh to increase number of NDRF in Tripura urgently.
The Chief Secretary of Tripura also informed the status of flood situation to Cabinet Secretary and Secretary MHA. The Center has assured all the necessary support to the State of Tripura to tackle the flood situation. The Center has informed the Army Chief to take necessary action. The Chief Minister has appealed all the people of Tripura to cooperate and assist the Administration as the Government is taking all the possible measures to tackle the flood situation.
