Agartala, February 19, 2020: In the healthcare sector, a bright ray of hope emerged as a UK-based hospital made proposals for investment in healthcare sector of Tripura. The UK-based hospital proposed setting up a Self Sustainable University Hospital and Integrated Healthcare system in Tripura with world class treatment facilities. The hospital of international standard, if set up, would come as a major boon for patients of the State who presently have to go to other States for treatment. Financially weaker and midlle class families would be most benefited. Moreover, with an International Standard Hospital, Tripura would emerge as a hub of medical tourism. Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb assured the delegates all sorts of support.

The Proposal

The big proposal came from a delegation of HP Kapital, London during a meeting with Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb in New Delhi on Wednesday. The Chief Minister held threadbare discussions on the proposal– setting up of the Self Sustainable University Hospital and Integrated Healthcare system in the state.

As per the proposal, the HP Kapital would promote its high-end medical system according to Sanatan Dharma via the use of Ayurvedic Philosophy as per the knowledge handed down by the Great Rishi Charaka. HP Kapital would also undertake that all patients accepted on the ‘Ayushman Bharat Yojna’ would receive full treatment without any spend cap– if the cost spent passes the current 5 lakhs limit, HP Kapital will continue to treat the patients until recovery regardless of the cost.

Tripura Chief Minister Tweets

After his meeting with the delegation, the Chief Minister tweeted, “Today met with the delegates from HP Kapital, London and had detailed discussion on their proposal for setting up a Self Sustainable University Hospital & Integrated Healthcare system in Tripura. We are committed to upgrade the healthcare sector of State and want to make Tripura a hub of Medical tourism which in return will also generate revenue and employment opportunities for youths.”

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister assured the delegation that the Government of Tripura would extend all possible supports in this regard. The international company- HP Kapital in its proposal has expressed pleasure over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s plans to set up polyclinics in large numbers and wellness centres under Ayushman Yojana across the country. In this context, HP Kapital (London) intends to open 35 Self Sustainable University Hospitals and about 100 polyclinics across the country.
