In a major administrative reshuffle in Tripura, several IAS including four DMs and TCS SSG officers have been transferred and given additional charges.
Dr. Debashis Basu, the secretary of the Health and Family Welfare department, has been relieved from his duties in that department. He is set to take on the roles of Secretary in both the General Administration (SA) and General Administration (Political) departments.
Meanwhile, A.K. Bhattacharya has been relieved from his independent charges in the General Administration (SA) and General Administration (Political) departments. Dr. Sandeep Rathod, currently serving as the secretary, will now assume the position of Health Secretary in addition to his existing responsibilities.
Furthermore, Dr. Vishal Kumar, who held the position of District Magistrate in Sepahijala, has been transferred and appointed as the District Magistrate of West Tripura, replacing Debapriya Bardhan, who, in turn, has been transferred and assigned as the District Magistrate of North Tripura.
Nagesh Kumar B., the former District Magistrate of North Tripura, has been relocated to Sepahijala district, and Tarit Kanti Chakma, who previously served as the District Magistrate of Unakoti, has been transferred and posted in Gomati district.
Dr. Rathod Sandeep Rewaji, IAS, who was serving as the Secretary of the Government of Tripura in the Rural Development (including Panchayats) and Public Works (Sanitation part of Drinking Water & Sanitation) Departments, with an additional charge as Director (Projects) in SLMC of RD Department, will also assume the responsibilities of the Health & Family Welfare Department.
On repatriation from Inter-cadre deputation, Dr. (Smt.) Brahmneet Kaur, IAS (TR:2012) is posted as Additional Secretary, Govt of Tripura. Health & Family Welfare Department. She will also hold the charges of Chief Executive Officer, TRLM and Mission Director, NULM, in addition.
Dr. Prasada Rao Vaddarapu, IFS, Managing Director, TRPC Ltd with Addl charges of Chief Executive Officer, TRLM and Mission Director, NULM is relieved from the additional charges of Chief Executive of TRLM and Mission Director, NULM.
Rajib Dutta, the Addl DM & Collector of West Tripura is transferred and posted as the same in Unakoti District. Besides, he will also hold the charges of DM, Unakoti.
Several other officers have been transferred.
