In Western Australia, dozens of homes and businesses are believed to have been destroyed by a massive bushfire. Accounts from residents say most buildings in the town of Yarloop, south of Perth, were destroyed in the blaze. Wind gusts of up to 60 kilometers per hour fanned the blaze, dubbed the Waroona fire, with flames reportedly reaching heights of 50 meters. Report says that the loss of property was significant.
