Agartala May 2: The NEET-UG examination is scheduled to be held on May 4 (Sunday). In preparation, a high-level meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha. The meeting took place in the video conference hall of the State Secretariat and was attended by Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, DGP (Intelligence) Anurag, Special Secretary of the Education Department Ravel Hemendra Kumar, and Home Department Secretary Apurba Roy.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the security arrangements for the examination day and other logistical matters. Authorities have already reviewed the preparedness and security measures at NEET exam centres located in West Tripura and Dhalai districts. These reviews were carried out under the supervision of the respective District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police, who have assured that all necessary safety protocols will be in place.
This year, a total of 4,892 students from Tripura are expected to appear for the NEET (UG) examination. The exam will be conducted at 11 centres—10 in West Tripura district and one in Dhalai district.

In West Tripura, the examination will take place at Maharaja Bir Bikram College, Bir Bikram Memorial College, Banibhushan Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 Kunjaban, the Institute of Advanced Studies in Education (IASE), Kendriya Vidyalaya ONGC, Hindi Higher Secondary School, and Shishu Bihar Higher Secondary School.
In Dhalai district, the examination will be held at Kamalpur Government English Medium Higher Secondary School. This information was formally shared through a press release issued by the Department of Higher Education.
