Agartala, May 29, 2019: Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb today attended sworn in ceremony of Arunachal Chief Minister in Itanagar. In a programme, attended by Chief Ministers of other North East States, Pema Khandu took oath as the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh in Itanagar.
Governor B.D. Mishra administered the oath of office and secrecy to Khandu and 11 others as Ministers.
Chief Ministers Sarbananda Sonowal of Assam, Biplab Kumar Deb of Tripura, N. Biren Singh of Manipur, Neiphiu Rio of Nagaland, Conrad Sangma of Meghalaya as well as others were present on the occasion.
After attending the oath-taking ceremony, Deb wrote a post on his Facebook wall and said,
“Congratulations to Shri @PemaKhanduBJP ji for taking oath as the CM of Arunachal Pradesh today. Warm greetings also to his Council of Ministers who took oath today. Under leadership of PM @narendramodi ji, let us commit towards making North East as the Ashtalakshmi of India”.
