Agartala, January 21, 2019: As the Modi-led Government is entering into proverbial “last 10 over”, the Mahila Morcha — women wing of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) — has appointed ‘Pramukh’ in each of the Shakti Kendras of Tripura.
While announcing this in a press conference at BJP state headquarters today, Mahila Morcha national president Vijaya Rahatkar said that apart from other parts of the country, Nari Shakti of Tripura was also getting ready to ensure BJP’s win in the forthcoming Lok-Sabha polls.
She also lashed out at Opposition over 33 per cent reservation for women. Aiming to aware people about achievements of the Modi Government and his vision, Mahila Morcha is focusing on strengthening grass root level organization.
“There are 702 Shakti Kendras in sixty constituencies across Tripura. The Mahila Morcha already appointed Pramukh in each of the Shakti Kendras for strengthening Nari Shakti in the grass-root level,” Rahatkar, who is in state for organizational assignments, told the reporters. She also announced the next edition of Women Outreach Programme from February 12 to March 2 next.T
he Mahila Morcha initiated a series of programmes and set its target to hold district-level conference with beneficiaries, eminent women, Asha and Anganwadi workers and self-help groups.
“There will be a state wide Kamaljyoti Sankalp programme of Mahila Morcha across the country on February 26. Besides, to mark the International Day for Women, the Mahila Morcha will hold a conference with the intellectual women on March 8 next,” she added.
As part of the poll activities, the Mahila Morcha organized an organizational meeting at Agartala Town Hall. She concluded with the note that the Mahila Morcha would play an important role in the ensuing Lok Sabha polls across the country.
