Agartala, June 07, 2019: As people fall victim to political violence and family members of dead persons haplessly wait for justice for long, the BJP-led Tripura Government has decided to step in and provide justice to those families.
A memorandum, signed by Addl Secretary to Government of Tripura, D Reang said, “The State Government has decided to examine all such cases in which the victims died due to political violence long before and the victims are claiming for proper investigation of these cases so that the actual culprits are punished as per provisions of law”.
The Committee will be headed by Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath as chairman while principal secretary, Law DM Jamatia and Addl secretary, Home Devananda Reang will work as members. The Committee will examine cases relating to death of a person long before and will make necessary record maintenance.
