Agartala, January 08, 2019: State Congress fired from all guns at BJP over the Rafale Deal today. As the nation is engrossed in political slugfest between Congress and BJP – veteran Congress leader and former MLA Gopal Roy slammed BJP over the issue and dubbed it as ‘a historical scam”.
Speaking to on Monday night, Gopal Roy echoed the views of national leaders of the party, particularly of Rahul Gandhi and alleged that Sitharaman and other BJP leaders were spinning a ‘web of lies’ on Rafale Deal. He dubbed the Deal as “a historical scam by Modi”. Shifting from Rafale Deal to issues relating to the State, Roy took a swipe at BJP chief Amit Shah over claims of achievements of BJP-IPFT government.
Roy alleged, law and order situations have deteriorated under Biplab Deb’s government. Saying that BJP’s Pristha Pramukh sammelon was a total failure, he mentioned about several murders including recent murder of a lawyer to justify his claim about deteriorating law and order condition. Gopal Roy also alleged that State BJP was not fulfilling its poll promise.
Training guns at BJP-IPFT government, Roy said, state economy has made a nosedive as BJP-led Government had stopped social pensions as well as dearth of MNREGA pushed the rural people into corner. Commenting on 7th CPC, he alleged, BJP-IPFT Government has deprived State Government employees. “Only the multiplier factor was raised a bit – and this cannot be the actual 7th CPC”, he asserted.
