Agartala, May 21, 2019: As scheduled, Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) today declared results of Science steam of higher secondary exams conducted during March 1 to April 3 last. Speaking to the media persons in Agartala today president of TBSE Bhabatosh Saha said, The pass percentage stood at 88.95 per cent this year compared to 84.31 per cent of last year.
“This year altogether 3,358 students appeared in the exams out of which 27,200 students succeeded to clear all the papers which increased the pass percentage to 88.95% from 84.31% of the last year. Last year, the number of students who appeared in the science stream was 3,228 and the number of successful candidates was 2552” he told the media.

Nilanjan Deb of Netaji Subhas Vidya Niketan, Agartala topped the probable merit list with aggregate 485 marks out of a total of 500.
Students of sub-divisional Dharmanagar schools in North Tripura district dominated the probable merit list with four students in the list, however, only one girl student found place in the list – total 12 students secured place in probable top 10 positions. three students of Umakanta Academy, Agartala andtwo from Shishubihar School, Agartala secured positions.
While Nilanjan topped the list, Akash Majumder of Belonia Government English Medium School secured 2nd Position, Arnab Chowhan and Abir Debnath of Shishu Bihar Agartala, secured 3rd and 4th respectively, Subham Banik, Sagar Paul and Supratim Datta of Umakanta Academy, Agartala, secured 5th, 6th and 7th positions respectively, Pallab Debnath of BBI, Dharmanagar secured 8th position, Birat Debnath of Golden Valley, Dharmanagar, Krishnendu Saha of Udaipur English Medium and Rismita Dhar of Dharmanagar Government Girls HS School secured 9th position jointly, Punit Debntah of Chandrapur Government HS School, Dharmanagar secured 10th position in the top ten list.
TBSE president, Bhabatosh Saha also informed the media that TBSE, from this year, introduced a new paper review system. According to the new system, the students are directed to send the soft copy of the review form through mail and the hard copy will be sent as per the process—through the respective institution they are enrolled with. May 22, 23 and 24 next are the dates for filling review forms with the schools which will be forwarded to the boards in next two days, he added.
