Agartala, January 01, 2019 : Eyeing on ensuing Tripura visit of BJP’s national president Amit Shah on January 5 next, State unit of BJP has geared up. Shah is scheduled to attend a slew of meetings with party leaders, Ministers and MLAs to chalk out strategies for upcoming Lok Sabha Polls in two seats in Tripura.
According to available information, Shah will arrive in MBB airport at 12.30 pm. Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and organisational bigwigs will welcome him in airport. From airport he will go to State Guest House.
Sources in BJP said, Shah he will attend and address a ‘Pristha Pramukh’ rally in Swami Vivekananda Maidan in Agartala on the same day. It is expected that forty two thousand ‘Pristha Pramukh’ from across the State will attend the rally.
From 4 to 5 pm, Shah is scheduled to chair meeting of officer bearers and core committee members of state BJP. Besides he will have meeting with council of ministers from 5 to 6 pm. On same day he will leave for New Delhi.
A senior party leader said, “His visit is not only about elections. As party chief, it is his responsibility to strengthen the party”.
The BJP president has set a target of winning in as many seats as possible – at least 21 seats – out of 25 parliamentary constituencies from the Northeast in Lok Sabha polls in 2019.BJP-led NDA had won 11 in the last Lok Sabha elections held in 2014.
