September 26, 2018: In upcoming Lok Sabha polls, BJP will contest in both the seats along with its ally IPFT and will win with massive votes, BJP State president cum Chief Minister biplab Deb said while addressing a press conference after the end of one-day State Executive meeting of BJP at Khowai today. He said, during the executive meeting, several political and organizational decisions were adopted.
After attending the Executive meeting, Biplab Deb announced that Tripura would become a Model and self-reliant State within three years. During discussions in the meeting, stress was laid on agriculture as the State is basically an agrarian society.
“BJP-led Government has assumed power only recently, misdeeds of Left Front during its long years of ruling are huge – give us some more time, our Government will deliver. Within three years, Tripura will become self-reliant and model state”, Deb said.
Detailing about proceedings of executive meetings, Deb said, participants discussed about various aspects of political and organizational issues. Also, several proposals were made pertaining to these issues.
“The issue of livelihood option was discussed in details. As the State is primarily is an agriculture based State, the Government will focus on improving agricultural sector and enhance employability capacity of the sector”, Deb said.
Referring to activities of previous Left Front government, Biplab Deb said, there was huge corruption during Left regime – a scam of worth Rs 1500 thousand Crore in MNREGA came up recently. Moreover, in case of selection of beneficiaries, 37 per cent were found to be fake, whereas 67 per cent fake BPL ration card holders were identified.
“We are investigating all these cases and steps will be taken accordingly”, Deb asserted. He also focused on ensuing Lok Sabha polls. Shedding light on alliance issue, Biplab Deb said, BJP will fight Lok Sabha polls along with IPFT and party win contest in both seats. He also asserted, BJP will secure victory with huge margin.
Earlier, addressing the delegates, State Prabhari Sunil Deodhar highlighted the pro-poor policies of the Modi-led government. Identifying Biplab Deb led Government as ‘Clean Government’, Deodhar said, Biplab Deb ensured a corruption free and transparent government. “Tripura is gifted with HIRA and Biplab Deb led BJP government is working in full flow and cleaning the dirt left by previous Government” Deodhar said.
In today’s State Executive Meeting, out of total 137 delegates, 134 delegates were present in the meeting.
