Agartala, April 25, 2019: Based on specific intelligence input from BSF Sources about concealment of contraband goods in Rubber Forest area between Village Tarapokar and Village Santinagar under PS Sonamura, Distt–Sepahijala, a Special Search Operation was conducted by troops of Border Out Post Dipak, Ex 145 Bn BSF On 24 April 2019.
At about 09:30PM, during thorough search of the suspected areas, above BSF search party found 02 Plastic bags concealed in bushes and recovered 780Nos of Yaba Tablets of worth Rs. 3,99,348/, Ganja –01 kg of worth Rs. 5,000/- and 31 bottles of Phensedyl of worth Rs.4,348/-.
Seized items were handed over to PS Sonamura and a FIR is being lodged against suspected persons namely Anesh Miah (23 year) and Munir Hussain (25 year) both resident of Village Tarapokar, PS Sonamura.
In addition to the above seizures, on the same day at about 05:20 AM, patrolling party of Border Out Post Kamthana, Ex 74 Bn BSF, seized 19 Nos Cattle of worth Rs. 1,18,400/-, and Ganja -15 Kgs of worth Rs. 75,000/- while miscreants weretrying to smuggle these Cattle from India to Bangladesh. The seized Cattle and Ganja were handed over to PS Madhupur. A press communiqué today from BSF said this.
