Lauding Modi-led Government’s developmental activities in North East, the Chief Minister asked where were the people – who are misleading commoners on NRC and Citizenship Bill and holding agitation – during last so many years when NE was kept lagging behind.
He also mentioned that Citizenship Bill is applicable for each of the State across the country. He said, “Rajasthan, Gujarat and Jammu Kashmir also share border with Pakistan and Citizenship Bill is applicable there also – however, no one opposing the Bill – Why only NE states are up against the Bill”.
“This is nothing but an attempt to deviate the growth process and bring back the days of insurgency”, he claimed.
