Agartala, Jun 30, 2019: In an unequivocal message, Tripura Chief Minister batted for ‘perform or perish’ mantra suggesting State Government employees either to perform with better efficiency, or opt for voluntary retirement. Speaking at the second triennial state conference of TRKS (Tripura Rajya Karmachari Sangha), he strongly urged the employees to devote themselves towards work.
“In spite of paucity of funds, the government has declared 7th Pay scale for employees. Though, there is no provisions for Group D employees in the 7th pay commission structure, the state government has also increased the salaries of the group D employees. We are doing our best, and employees are also expected to focus on their works,” the Chief Minister told the gathering in front of Rabindra Shatabrshiki Bhavan in Agartala today.
He also said, the government is keen to provide all the benefits to employees. But, the previous government has left a huge burden of debts on the successors. All that was promised, would be given but it would take time, the Chief Minister added.
Criticizing the previous government, he also said, last twenty five years, the ruling party and their Unions messed up the entire work culture of the government offices. They had the only one agenda – to organize rallies and protest programmes. They were not at all concerned with the people’s interests, the CM added saying that TRKS had changed the work culture.
Meanwhile, employees from different parts of the state participated in the programme. Senior national level leaders also attended the programme.
