October 26, 2018: The BJP-led Government in the State is busy in fooling people – it is even deceiving people through recently launched Health insurance scheme, known as Ayushman Bharat. In a hard-hitting press conference CPM State secretary Bjian Dhar said this today in Agartala.
He was speaking to media after day-long State Committee meeting of the Party. Dhar said, the party discussed about prevailing situation in the State and expressed deep concern over alarming rise in crimes and violence. Lashing out at BJP, Dhar hurled accusations against the ruling Party and put forward demand lists for ‘sake of people’.
Dhar alleged, “BJP has failed to take actions for fulfilling pre-poll promises. Whichever promises it tried to materialize was nothing but Jumla. The 7th CPC for State Government employees is also a Jumla and BJP is duping people with Ayushman Bharat Scheme”. Continuing his tirade against BJP Government, Dhar alleged BJP made panchayat polls a farce and captured 96 per cent seats without contest. He also thrashed BJP for ‘saffronizing’ the Durga Puja.
“The people are witnessing serious deterioration of law and order condition in the State. In last two months total 26 persons either murdered or met unnatural death and out of those, 11 were women”, Dhar said and expressed concern over growing incidences of rape and atrocities on women. He also referred to BJP-IPFT conflicts.
Claiming that people – both in hills and plane areas – are undergoing crisis, Dhar demanded immediate implementation of MNREGA. He also demanded to raise the wages to Rs 340 as promised. “Process to recruit applicants who were selected for jobs through interviews during LF regime, must be started at the earliest”, Dhar demanded.
Alleging that tribal people are facing food crisis, Dhar demanded double ration at Rs 2 per kg rate.
