Agartala, July 03, 2019: TheĀ Union Government has provided an additional amount of Rs. 358 crore to Tripura for continuing implementation of various developmental projects. According to official sources, the additional amount was an outcome of Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Debās meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the sideline of recent NITI Aayog meet.
The additional fund that wasĀ deposited in stateās exchequer on Tuesday would help the government implementing several pending projects and works.
In the meeting on June 15 last, the Chief Minister had discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on various issues. The Chief Minister had sought additional fund for development works and resumption of other works pending for long time due to insufficient funds in the state. Responding to Chief Ministerās appeal, the Prime Minister has taken effective step and provided the additional amount of Rs. 358 crore.
