Agartala, June 23, 2019: In its endeavour to emerge as a ‘Model State’, Tripura Government is focusing on improving Education and Public Health services as well as nurturing job creation sectors. The State Government is working to strengthen education and public health services so that Tripura stands tall in these sectors at both the national and international levels. Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb said this today in Agartala.
The Chief Minister highlighted his Government’s priority while inaugurating a blood donation camp, organized by Tripura Civil Service (TCS) Officers’ Association today in Agartala. He also donated blood in the camp to inspire and encourage people to join in voluntary blood donation. Total 150 persons voluntarily donated blood in the camp.
In his inaugural speech, Deb said, the State has a wonderful tradition of voluntary blood donation. Capitalizing such a positive mentality towards blood donation, the State Government has chalked out plans for ensuring adequate blood in the blood banks.
Outlining Government’s thrust areas, Biplab Kumar Deb said, “The present Government introduced NCERT syllabus to improve quality of education. Moreover, the Government has adopted specific programmes for proper and speedy implementation of developmental projects”.
He also mentioned about prevalence of Malaria in different parts of the State – and told the Officers to fix priority and solve the problems promptly.
On creation of earning opportunities, the Chief Minister emphasized, once again, on Agriculture and allied sector. He said, “Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Agriculture, Horticulture along with skill development and self-help entrepreneurial activities crucial as these sectors create earning opportunities”. He stressed on timely implementation of projects linked with these sectors and appealed to concerned administrative officers to play effective roles.
